FAQ’S

How do I book a class?

Get in touch by e-mail and tell me about you. I will inquire about your schedule preferences, Spanish level and objectives. Based on this we will establish a potential date and time for your weekly lessons.

How many classes a week should I book?

On average, students start with 2 classes a week and evaluate how they feel before adding more hours. Nonetheless, you can go for more or less classes depending on your time, motivation, learning pace and objectives.

How long does a class last?

Typically, one class lasts one hour. However, you can book classes of one hour and a half or two hours tops. One-on- one classes lasting over two hours and less than one hour are not advisable.

Where are the live classes held?

Due to time constrictions and high demand, classes are currently held only at the “Say it in Spanish (SIIS)” studio.

Where is the SIIS Studio located?

The “Say it in Spanish” studio is located in the outskirts of La Paz, in  El Centenario neighborhood, 15 kms away from downtown La Paz.

Are there any group classes?

At this time we are only offering one-on-one classes. However, a class of two could be arranged, so long as both students are around the same level.

When do I have to pay for my in-person classes?

You can pay for single classes at the end of each lesson. If you are getting a package, you should pay for the full package by the end of the first lesson.

When do I have to pay for my online classes?

You should pay for online single classes before the start of each lesson. If you are getting a package, you should pay for the full package before the start of the first lesson.

How can I pay?

You can pay in cash (MXN), through bank deposit,  bank transfer (if you have a Mexican bank account), or through the online platform “Transfer Wise”.

What happens if I need to cancel a class that I had already scheduled and paid for?

If you cancel a class that you had already paid for 24 hours prior to the lesson time, you can reschedule it at no additional charge. If you don’t show up or cancel with less than a 24-hour notice, that class will be unfortunately lost.

How long does it take to speak Spanish fluently?

Starting from zero, the average student takes around 360 hours to become a basic Spanish user and around 600 to reach an intermediate level. But don’t get discouraged! Living in immersion in a Spanish-speaking country will reduce these times significantly!

What can I do to improve my Spanish

There are many language learning strategies you can implement to improve your Spanish. Exposing yourself to the language as much as you can through TV shows, podcasts and music, repeating sentences out loud over and over again, and trying to speak with locals is a good start!
